Ever stand in the wine aisles feeling completely overwhelmed and without a clue? This fun class will take the intimidation out of enjoying wine by teaching you the basics of talking and tasting wine. Topics include: how and why to taste wine, label deciphering, cork fondling, wine glass selection, and an introduction to wine jargon suitable for impressing your friends. Jim Solano, CSW, has been in the wine business, as a sommelier and distributor for decades. He also was a cellar master for Folie a Deux winery for five years and has taught a wine tasting class in his home for two years. You must be 21 or older and bring a valid photo ID.
