Have you been thinking about starting your own business or nonprofit? Perhaps you’ve already taken that first step (or a big leap!) toward becoming your own boss. If so, you’ll be in good company at CFU’s Un-Job Fairâ„¢ on June 17, 2017. We know that making the transition to self-employment is equal parts exhilarating and nerve-wracking. You don’t have to do it alone!
This daylong symposium designed especially for entrepreneurs kicks off with two opening keynote addresses, one by Barbara Winter, author of Making a Living without a Job, and the second by local small business expert and educator Jennifer Croft. Barbara and Jennifer whet your appetite and share key ideas and strategies for self-employment and “self-bossing.” Then you’ll choose from a variety of breakout sessions hosted by CFU teachers on topics of interest to the self-employed. Sessions features a mix of the concrete and the inspirational–everything from branding, to projecting credibility, to project management, to maintaining motivation.

After an afternoon lunch break, join Teri Karjala for a highly motivating keynote address on how to put yourself and your services out in the world in a big, meaningful way. The day ends with what many participants have told us is one of their favorite parts of the day: a Q&A session with the keynote speakers and fellow participants.
