The weather is finally cooperating, so it’s time to get outside and try a fun new outdoor recreation class  or activity. We’ve got quite a range of classes to choose from, but there are a couple new & notable ones to feature.
Introduction to Natural Horsemanship is held at the Rockin’ Z Ranch up near Conifer. Spend a day with these wonderful animals and learn how to work with them naturally and gently. Your host, Larry  Lane, is a “horse whisperer” and will introduce you to how horses think and behave, and how you can use this knowledge to ride and care for them.

Another class we’re excited about it the new Anyone for Croquet? With Jiminy Wicket. CFU president Helen Hand and her extended family headed down to Washington Park one afternoon to learn the game from an amazing teacher & host, Jiminy Wicket. There’s a lot of strategy in croquet (surprise!), but it’s fun & accessible for all ages. Her family had a blast and we’re sure you will too!
Of course, new classes in no way overshadow the many other classes that we bring back during warmer months. Take a class and learn to fly fish (it’s really hard to “wing it” –just sign up and learn how!), try out some sailing skills on a boat at Chatfield Reservoir, go tree climbing (yes, really!), or learn to play golf with the wonderfully kind & generous Tom White.
And don’t forget if you’re a bicycle person (or even if you’re not–yet!), you can sign up any Sunday for a one-on-two bicycle repair fix-up clinic with the mechanics at Denver Bicycle Cafe. This is the best way to get your bike on the road.
