Our hearts are broken that our dear Tim died of cancer on Thursday, April 9 at the age of 64. Tim taught a couple of classes for us in 1997, but became a regular teacher in 2004. He was a Spanish teacher at the middle school and high school level in Iowa as well as Littleton, CO. Beyond teaching, he sponsored numerous clubs and organizations for the kids in his schools, coached basketball and track, and took kids on trips to Mexico. After his retirement from the public schools, he took on more classes here at CFU. Tim was a favorite of our students because of his skill as a teacher as well as his upbeat attitude, genuine concern for people, and infectious sense of humor. Those of us in the office looked forward to the days he taught because, no matter what was going on, he would lift our spirits. We will miss Tim terribly. He lived a full and rich life and touched many people, but he has certainly left us way too soon.
