Brigitte Mars

CFU is pleased to welcome well-known author and herbalist Brigitte Mars for a day-long workshop on May 3, 2014 on Healing with Herbs and Other Natural Remedies.
Discover how to use simple ingredients and herbs to help you improve common health concerns such as colds, insomnia, stress, infection, and digestive problems. The workshop starts with an introduction to herbal preparations, dosage, and safety, and then explores common kitchen medicines such as garlic, honey, salt, lemon and vinegar. If the weather and time permit, take a walk to a nearby local park, and earn to identify and use some common Colorado plants and how to use them in teas, tinctures, and juices (or learn from plants Brigitte will bring from her home garden).
