The Art of Pole Dancing
A Body/Mind/Spirit Workout

The benefits of pole dancing can extend far beyond physical fitness or sensuality; it can be a window to deepen self-awareness and understanding. Delve within while focusing on your breath and body and discover your own sense of movement and rhythm. This class consists of a brief introduction, mat/floor warm-up, basic pole maneuvers (dependent on participants’ previous experiences), a choreographed routine, and a final acrobatic-dance demo on the pole by the teacher. Dr. Lori Huett, a psychologist and former professional ballet dancer with NYC’s Joffrey Ballet, observes profound improvements in body confidence, self image, and esteem with women in her classes. Lori brings the art of pole dancing direct from LA, where she studied and taught for the past seven years. Please bring bottled water and wear comfortable workout attire to class. Open to all ages and experience levels; no previous experience is necessary.
