A Roadmap for Online Writing
A world of opportunity awaits writers with solid web skills, but no road signs exist. In this day and age, anyone who wants to write for magazines or become a freelance writer needs to be able to navigate the online publication market. This in depth class will get you started writing for the web or will take your blogging skills from personal diary to moneymaking branded website. No advanced computer skills are necessary. Class topics include sourcing and networking; blogging, content management, and generating page views; writing for online magazines; copyright and other legal issues; and brand management and marketing. Web editor Alex McCall was an online editor for Forbes.com while living in New York, a professional blogger, and wrote and edited online content for a host of NYC media websites. She has been a magazine editor and freelance writer in Denver and currently develops content for Forbes.com and consults on NYC media and content blogs.
