You are serious and motivated to write your screenplay. This introductory workshop on the craft of screenwriting will enable you to begin the process of shaping your ideas into an actual screenplay. The emphasis is on story structure, character development and film language. In class, study screenplays and movies that have been produced in order to identify the elements of a successfully crafted script. Working through the processes of outlining, character development, and other exercises, screenwriter Amanda Morris Conti guides students in completing a treatment or narrative outline for an original screenplay.
